Description:
SUMMARY
SHRM’s paid internship program enables students to participate in valuable real-world work experience through a variety of tailored assignments within their areas of interest and fields of study. Students will be tasked with different team-specific projects, and tasks, and participate in professional development projects and events to prepare them for their future careers.
This is a paid internship starting at $20.00/Hour.
This is a 10 week, summer internship from June 2, 2026 - August 6, 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and edit social media copy, blog summaries, and internal brand communications to support ongoing campaigns and initiatives.
- Assist in brainstorming sessions by contributing creative ideas for brand activations, social content, and campaign concepts.
- Compile research findings into clear, concise summaries to inform brand strategy discussions.
- Support the development of internal presentations by organizing content, refining messaging, and ensuring visual consistency with brand standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Events, Content, Digital) to gather inputs and ensure brand alignment across projects.
- Support on SHRM26 logistical planning.
- Assist with brand asset organization and documentation to maintain consistency across materials.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Field of study: pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or other related fields
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience

Physical Requirements
This position operates in a typical office environment and requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements may include:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and using office equipment.
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

Work environment
Hybrid Schedule (3 Days In-Office / 2 Days Remote):
This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with Tuesday through Thursday in office and Monday and Friday remote. Employees must be available during standard business hours, with core hours beginning between 8:00–9:00 a.m. and concluding between 5:00–6:00 p.m. local time.
