The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing best practices, assisting in implementing new policies and procedures, and mentoring staff to achieve an optimal experience and outcome. The Medical Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner will work with staff and oversee processes to ensure our clients receive the best care and results possible.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an overall skin health treatment plan for patients including skin care, laser and light treatments, and injectables
- Conduct comprehensive consultations to assess clients aesthetic goals and appropriate treatment plans
- Examine and evaluate patient’s areas of concern and overall skin health
- Perform a variety of injectable treatments such as neurotoxin and dermal filler, laser and light based treatments, threads, PRP, facials, IV therapy, and more
- Produce and maintain accurate clinical treatment records in the patient’s medical chart
- Participate in all aspects of client services including answering phones and checking patients in
- Based on examination, advise, and recommend treatment plan(s)
- Effectively administer patient treatments in a safe, timely manner
- Consult and advise patients on skin care products and develop product regimes
- Invest in the overall welfare of each patient and develop trust with patients
- Educate patients on treatments including alternatives as well as pre and post-treatment care
- Aid in laser and device maintenance as requested
- Support the staff in maintaining clear treatment areas
- Sustain proficiency through continuing education and training on all treatments and services including but not limited Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), Laser Hair Removal, Fraxel and CO2 laser skin resurfacing, Radio Frequency Microneedling, Body Contouring and energy-based Skin Tightening within designated scope of practice
- Collaborate with staff and management as requested
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and all applicable state and federal laws
- Assists in review of products, service lines, and devices both existing and new evaluations
- Oversees and guarantees the medical quality of the facility
- Supervises other medical and ancillary staff who require standing orders or treatment protocols
- Acts as cosigner for standing orders or policies that are required by state law
- Reviews and provides input for medical and aesthetic protocols
- Willingness to participate in the evaluation and recruitment of new team members
- Stays up to date on medical aesthetic trends
- Assist in the training of new staff as needed
- Maintains competency on facility devices and treatments
- Acts as licensed ordering provider for supplies requiring advanced licensure such as Allergan, RHA, and Galderma products
- Review of client complaints that require additional medical expertise
- Acts as an advocate for clients achieving desired outcomes
- Provide educational moments, updated best practices, or interesting cases to the team during quarterly meetings
- Participate in external community events and internal marketing events such as open houses
- Assist other providers in treatment delivery to improve the client’s experience
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Skills:
- Active unrestricted Nurse Practitioner License
- 2 years experience with injectables, laser, and other aesthetics treatments preferred
- Willingness to learn with additional trainings and continuing education potentially outside of work hours
- Experience in Medical Aesthetics preferred
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to focus on accuracy and detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing company priorities
- Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to effectively use, various computer software
