BHS is seeking a dynamic CoMedical Director of Hospital Medicine to help lead a highperforming inpatient program. In a shared leadership model, the CoMedical Directors guide clinical operations, provider engagement, patient experience, and systemwide throughput initiatives. This role is ideal for a physician leader who thrives at the intersection of clinical excellence, operational improvement, and team development.

Clinical Operations & Workflow

• Standardize and optimize inpatient workflows

• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve efficiency and care quality

• Remove operational barriers impacting performance

Provider Leadership

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship

• Foster engagement, wellbeing, and retention

Patient Experience

• Oversee patient experience strategies and performance

• Collaborate across teams to elevate the patient journey

Systemwide Patient Flow

• Colead throughput strategy and daily flow management

• Partner across departments to reduce barriers to movement

• Provide physician oversight to the Care Coordination Center

• Align LOS and capacity strategies with organizational goals

Observation Medicine

• Lead protocols, rounding standards, and staffing optimization

• Monitor KPIs and drive Observation LOS improvements

Performance Improvement

• Monitor LOS, capacity, and operational analytics

• Lead structured improvement initiatives (Lean, PDSA, etc.)

• MD/DO with Board Certification in Internal Medicine

• Demonstrated leadership experience in hospital operations or throughput

• Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills

• Leadership development experience preferred
