Overview
The Faculty Affairs Administrator in the Office of Faculty Affairs is responsible for administering and maintaining faculty data and records, including related software and database systems. Provides administrative support to the Office of Faculty Affairs including faculty recruitment, hiring, appointment, reappointment, promotion, tenure, leave, sabbatical, and retirement, as well as faculty career development, faculty assessment, and faculty awards and recognition. Provides logistical support for events in the Office of Faculty Affairs, including training and recognition events and supervise student workers.
Responsibilities
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related area
Required Experience:
2+ years Experience in working in human resources, faculty affairs or higher education, supervision, data management, managing budgets or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years Experience in a large, highly selective college or university or in a non-profit organization and working with Faculty. And/or experience working in a high-throughput data environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and in writing. Ability to interact with a diverse population at all levels. Must be a self-starter and able to exercise discretion and sound judgment with confidential and sensitive information. Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software. Must be professional, detail oriented and operate with an analytical and process improvement mindset. Must have 2+ years experience working with data and records systems (Microsoft Excel, Peoplesync, Workday, Interfolio, Microsoft Access, or equivalent).
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience working with advanced HR workflow systems software (Atlassian Jira, Salesforce, Tableau).
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $75,020.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
