About the Role:
The Accounting Office role is pivotal in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization. This position is responsible for managing and overseeing all accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger maintenance. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. Collaboration with other departments to streamline financial processes and provide insightful financial analysis is essential. Ultimately, this role contributes to informed decision-making by delivering timely and precise financial information.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles, preferably within an office environment.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CDK and/or experience in automotive accounting office.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations including processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to assist management in strategic planning.
- Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve financial processes.
Skills:
The required skills such as proficiency in accounting software and knowledge of GAAP are applied daily to maintain accurate financial records and generate reliable reports. Attention to detail ensures that all transactions are recorded correctly, minimizing errors and discrepancies.
