The ideal candidate is a proactive learner who enjoys working outdoors but also possesses the technical aptitude to translate field data into precise digital models. This position serves as a critical link in our project lifecycle, ensuring data integrity from the ground to the final deliverable.
The pay for this role will be $20/hr-$30/hr based on experience.
Field Operations (approx. 50%)
- Assist Senior Surveyors in performing boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.
- Operate, transport, and maintain precision equipment.
- Clear brush, drive stakes, and accurately document field notes and sketches.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed while working in various environments (construction sites, wooded areas, urban centers).
Office & Data Processing (approx. 50%)
- Download and organize raw data from field collectors.
- Assist in the preparation of survey plats and base maps using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation.
- Perform basic survey calculations and data verification.
- Maintain digital project folders and assist in preparing deliverables for clients.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; coursework in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or Geography is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word). Familiarity with CAD software is highly preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate.
- Physical Capability: Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain, carry up to 50 lbs of equipment, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Attention to Detail: Precision is the core of our business; you must be meticulous in recording measurements and notes.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for coordinating with field crews and office engineers.
- Work Ethic: Punctuality and a "team-first" attitude are essential.
- Adaptability: Comfortable transitioning between a physical outdoor environment and a focused office setting.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
