CDL Class A Heavy Haul in Lebanon, Tennessee at J&D Equipment Hauling

Overview
J&D Equipment Hauling is looking to grow our multi-axle team of amazing Heavy Haul Drivers. We are looking for a variety of skillsets including regional and long-haul personnel. Heavy Haul Drivers are responsible for the safe transportation of our customer’s loads such as construction and manufacturing equipment, cranes, mining, as well as bridge beams and crane girders with a dolly. You will also be responsible for the loading and unloading of cargo. Would like to see a minimum of 3 years of multi-axle experience. Drivers will not be required to be gone more than two weeks at a time. We prefer for our drivers to live within a 100-mile radius of our shop in Lebanon, TN. Our drivers' pay structure is commission-based.

Duties

• Operate a variety of truck and trailers including flatbeds, step-decks, and lowboys
• Execute route driving to deliver freight to designated locations safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling of materials.
• Maintain compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo details.

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
• Ability to operate machinery for loading and unloading purposes is a plus.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Multi-axle experience.
• Basic knowledge of shimming RGN trailer.
