Job Title: Material and Production Planner

Position Summary

New Standard Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Material and Production Planner to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical in ensuring customer satisfaction through effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of materials and production processes. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, maintain system accuracy, and collaborate across departments to ensure on-time delivery and operational efficiency.


Essential Key Functions and Accountabilities:

Production Planning & Scheduling

Ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery as the top priority in all planning activities.Accurately schedule work orders to meet customer requirements based on system lead times, vendor inputs, and process knowledge.Maintain system accuracy across all phases of the scheduling process, including:Demand PlanningInventory ManagementCapacity PlanningWork Order Creation, Execution, and ClosureReview capacity availability, identify constraints, and develop solutions to maintain production flow and supplier continuity.

Material Management & Coordination

Direct and regulate material movement throughout the manufacturing process.Collaborate with suppliers to ensure continuous material availability.Interface directly with process area managers and shift leads regarding scheduling priorities and production requirements.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Monitor key performance metrics and prepare reports for production meetings.Proactively communicate risks or variances and escalate issues when necessary.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Engineering, Shipping, Sales, and other departments to support production goals and customer commitments.

Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and fulfill commitments with accountability and professionalism.Understand and adhere to New Standard’s Quality Management System (QMS).Seek opportunities to improve processes and solve problems proactively.Foster teamwork, communicate effectively, and maintain a positive attitude.Demonstrate a commitment to safety, with a goal of zero recordable accidents.Practice effective housekeeping standards, including 5S principles.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including the application of Six Sigma methodologies when appropriate.


Required Education and Experience

Associate degree (2-year) or equivalent experience.Minimum of four (4) years of experience in production planning, materials planning, or a related field.High school diploma or GED required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Exceptional attention to detail.Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
