Surgical Physician Assistant SCMG - BONUS ELIGIBLE #8524 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at St. Clair Hospital

Summary

This position is accountable for providing medical care to patients as delegated by the physician in an inpatient or outpatient setting. The Surgical Physician Assistant will participate in all aspects of patient care and act as first assist in the operating room. This position may require night and/or weekend call.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA program
2. Currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania.
3. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
4. Prescriptive authority privileges.
5. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree.
2. Previous experience as a physician assistant, working in a surgical practice that specializes in cardiac surgery.
