Cross-Functional Coordination & Execution

  • Act as the point of coordination for People Ops workflows

  • Track onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle tasks through systems (e.g., Jira, trackers)

  • Ensure accountability across teams without needing escalation

  • Proactively identify delays or gaps and take action to resolve them

Employee Relations Support

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and issues

  • Handle common employee relations matters independently and escalate more complex cases as needed

  • Support documentation and investigations with a focus on consistency and risk mitigation

HRIS & Employee Data Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records across HR systems (e.g., ADP)

  • Execute employee lifecycle changes (hires, terminations, promotions, compensation updates)

  • Ensure alignment across HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems

  • Conduct regular audits and resolve discrepancies

Compliance & Auditing

  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment requirements

  • Maintain complete and audit-ready employee documentation

  • Track compliance-related activities (training, documentation, reporting)

  • Support internal audits and ensure readiness

Analytics & Reporting

  • Build and run recurring reports (headcount, onboarding metrics, turnover, compliance)

  • Maintain clean and reliable employee data to support reporting accuracy

  • Identify trends, inconsistencies, or gaps in data and flag risks

  • Provide clear, actionable insights to People leadership

Requirements:
  • 3–5+ years in HR, People Operations, or a similar operational role

  • Strong ability to manage multiple workflows and prioritize effectively

  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP) and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Excel)

  • Working knowledge of HR compliance and employment practices

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • Ability to coordinate across teams and drive accountability

  • Comfort working with data, reporting, and identifying trends

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, defense, or high-growth startup environments.
  • Familiarity with systems like ADP, Lattice, Lever, Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent walking through office, manufacturing, and test facility environments.
  • Occasional standing, bending, or reaching as part of employee engagement or site walkthroughs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., employee materials, office supplies, or equipment).
  • Ability to adhere to safety requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering production or test areas.
