THE OPPORTUNITY
Gilmartin is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the position as an We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill an Investor Relations Associate position. The successful candidate will work closely with senior Gilmartin executives to create materials to pitch and win new client business while managing existing day-to-day client engagements and with our internal team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Gilmartin clients by executing tactical investor related goals and deliverables for clients
- Specific responsibilities include:
- Coordinate with senior team members on client deliverables and timeline; proactively improving IR function
- Participate in the quarterly earnings process and conference call logistics – this may include creating press releases, speaker scripts, Q&A materials and presentation materials
- Responding to investor inquiries
- Monitoring and compiling peer group research; following industry, competitor and customer developments and news flow including earnings calls and analyst days - communicating key takeaways to management teams
- Evaluating industry trends and sentiment, assist senior team members in analysis for corporate executives
- Recommend content and updates for IR website
- Provide logistical support, administrative and calendar items including:
- Creating and maintaining IR calendar for year
- Support in collecting and analyzing sell side estimates and maintaining consensus model
- Logging investor inquiries, maintain database of investor activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with investment bankers, investors, and analysts
- Prepare materials for Board of Directors and other internal audiences on investor relations activities, share ownership, and valuation as required
- Have a passion for partnering with innovative healthcare companies, building IR practices and helping to craft client narratives
- Work collaboratively with Gilmartin team to pitch new business and execute existing business
- Support junior staff for day-to-day client needs and career development
- Travel, as needed, to investor conferences and meetings and client offices
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in investor relations and/or equity analysis at an investment bank or asset management firm
- Background in science and/or a strong interest to work with companies in healthcare sector
- Understanding of capital markets, Reg FD and other SEC disclosure rules and regulations
- Series 7 (or 82), 63 required within 6-months of hire
- Possess superb written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoy financial modeling and equity valuation skills and have a strong command of Excel
- Energized by interacting with external investors and Wall Street constituents
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently while prioritizing deliverables; detail-oriented multi-tasker who enjoys thinking critically to proactively problem solve
- Mature, confident and comfortable interacting with a senior executive leadership team
- Strong personal integrity with the highest ethical standards and are able to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgment and discretion
- Above all else, bright, kind, collaborative and motivated by challenge
