Inventory Cycle Counter in Boerne, Texas at Texas Star Nut and Food Co Inc

Job Summary:

The primary focus of this position is inventory cycle counting and to track and monitor materials inventory. Requires strong reliance on accuracy, control, monitoring and coordination to confirm inventory & investigate count discrepancies. Assists with shipping, receiving & warehouse duties as directed by supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

Inventory

• Perform daily cycle counts.
• Monitor and control inventory integrity.
• Research and resolve product identification, location, and lot code discrepancies.
• Work with Supply Chain Manager to resolve inventory problems in a timely manner.
• Work with Supply Chain Manager to establish and maintain Cycle Count Program for the organization.
• Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand.
• Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products.

Warehousing

• Assist with picking and staging materials for production as needed.
• Assist with physically storing raw materials and finished products as needed.
• Perform accurate and timely system transactions of material in the production software.

General

• Assist with other duties as required.
• All staff must report any known food safety issues to supervisor.
• All staff has the authority to place on hold any products and/or equipment that do not meet Texas Star Nut and Food Co., Inc. food safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

· Must be punctual and dependable.

· Must be able to work independently and with a team.

· Able to perform basic mathematics operations and acquire proficiency in our production software applications.

· Must possess basic MS Office skills, including knowledge of Excel.

· Must possess basic knowledge of warehouse organization and material flows.

· Must be able to comply with all safety and cleanliness requirements.

Abilities Required:

· Ability to frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

· Ability to climb ladders/steps and work on platforms. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing.

· Ability to work on machinery, handle small tools and assembling/disassembling machinery.

· Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.

· Able to work as a self-starter under limited supervision.
