Position Overview
Greater Chicago Specialty Physicians is seeking a full-time Infusion Nurse (RN) to support our growing infusion services at our Orland Park location. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered administration of biologic and specialty medications.
The ideal candidate is experienced in infusion therapy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer IV infusions, injections, and biologic therapies per provider orders
- Monitor patients during infusions and manage any adverse reactions
- Perform pre-infusion assessments, including vitals and medication review
- Ensure proper documentation within the EMR (eClinicalWorks experience preferred)
- Coordinate with providers, prior authorization team, and pharmacy as needed
- Maintain compliance with all clinical protocols and safety standards
- Educate patients on medications, side effects, and post-treatment care
- Assist with inventory management and medication storage requirements
- Support clinic flow and assist clinical staff as needed
Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license (required)
- Minimum 1–2 years of infusion, rheumatology, oncology, or specialty care experience preferred
- Strong IV skills and experience with biologics (Remicade, Actemra, etc.) preferred
- BLS certification (required)
- ACLS preferred
- Experience with EMR systems (ECW preferred)
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
Work Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday (no weekends)
