JOB SUMMARY: Dialysis Registered Nurse
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides nursing care for dialysis patients with the assistance of a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT)
Primary duties are nursing assessments, medication administration and charting, nursing plans of care, monthly review of patient medications and allergies, review of patient laboratory results and adjust medications according to protocol, notify nephrologist of abnormal lab values, notify nephrologist for changes in the patient’s condition and interaction with other members of the Interdisciplinary Team (Social Worker, Renal Dietitian, Nephrologist, and other renal nurses).
Participate in on-line training delivered by highly experienced dialysis nurses and nephrologists to learn and/or perfect dialysis-related nursing skills
Upholds and supports company values in words and actions. Speaks respectfully to patients and teammates and strives to follow company policies and procedures, asking when unclear.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered Nurse (RN) with Dialysis Experience required.
Strong computer literacy and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.
Must be a team player and deal in an environment with a flexible schedule
Ability to interact with all members of the interdisciplinary team
Ability to learn and closely adhere to Policies and Procedures
Desire to grow and develop in the dialysis profession.
