C+E is looking to add a hard-working and motivated Accounting Assistant to our Boston office to provide daily assistance to our Accounting/Billing team. This role will work on a team of about 8 other individuals. The role is a hybrid role that requires on-site work and allows for remote work (schedule to be determined) upon successful completion of training and proven success in the role. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to get a start in accounting within the legal field or for someone with some experience looking to take on a new challenge and to grow their career.

The salary range for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 depending on level of prior experience.

Responsibilities May Include:

    Accounts Receivable Tasks:
  • Post client payments
  • Facilitate bank deposits
  • Process foreign associate payments
  • Review and research statement of accounts and providing timely follow-up
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging, provide reports regarding the same
  • Liaison with clients, vendors and foreign associates regarding billing questions
  • Provide backup documentation when requested
General administrative tasks for the Accounting/Billing DepartmentMiscellaneous tasks as assigned
Skill+Ability Requirements:

Ability to take initiative under moderate supervision, self-starterExcellent communication skillsAbility to work as an integral member of the Accounting/Billing DepartmentAccuracy, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organization skillsFlexibility and ability to adapt to changing deadlinesMust be able to multitask and prioritize assignmentsAbility to work under strict deadlinesIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications, specifically Outlook, Word and ExcelPrefer 1-3+ years of Accounting experience but willing to train for the right candidateCollege degree, preferably in a related field, and/or sufficient job experienceExperience using Aderant Expert, a plus

Working Conditions:

Office environment. Accounting Assistant is expected to work the hours necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
