About This Position
As a Senior Solutions Architect at Loch Harbour Group, you will play a critical role in driving technical strategy and solution development to support business growth across federal IT services contracts for diverse mission areas, including Defense, Intelligence, Civilian Agencies, and Homeland Security. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in enterprise IT solutions and the ability to craft innovative, compliant, and customer-focused technical approaches tailored to unique government mission requirements. You will collaborate closely with our proposal team, consisting of writers, business developers, capture specialists, graphic artists, pricing analysts, and proposal managers, as well as subject matter experts and teaming partners to:
- Lead technical solution development and solutioning sessions for complex IT services pursuits across our portfolio.
- Shape customer requirements through early engagement, market research, and identification of competitive discriminators.
- Develop high-impact proposal content, including technical volumes, architecture diagrams, white papers, and contributions to Basis of Estimates (BOEs), while responding to RFIs and market surveys.
- Apply advanced IT methodologies such as Cloud architectures (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, FedRAMP), Cybersecurity (Zero Trust, RMF, CMMC), DevSecOps, Agile software development, Digital Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and System of Systems integration.
- Mentor proposal team members, foster collaboration, and drive innovation across internal and external stakeholders.
Work Environment:
- Location: Hybrid (Fairfax, VA / Northern Virginia area preferred)
- Working Hours: Standard business hours, with flexibility to support proposal deadlines
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 7+ years of industry experience that includes business development and/or direct support to federal proposals.
- Proven experience in federal IT services supporting one or more mission areas: Defense, Intelligence, Civilian Agencies, or Homeland Security.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical solution development for complex federal proposals and opportunities.
- Experience writing technical volumes, white papers, architecture diagrams, and developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
- Ability to respond to RFIs, market surveys, and support customer shaping efforts.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for interfacing with customers, internal leadership, and teaming partners.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (Secret or higher).
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong background in multiple technical disciplines, including Cybersecurity, Cloud computing, System of Systems integration, IT infrastructure modernization, Data Analytics/AI, Agile Software Development, Digital Engineering including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), or DevSecOps.
- Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, PMP, or TOGAF.
- Experience supporting major federal agencies and deep knowledge of federal compliance standards (FAR, DFARS, NIST, FISMA, etc.).
- Demonstrated success contributing to winning federal IT services bids (IDIQs, GWACs, task orders).
