Job Description
The Student Affairs Coordinator serves as a central operations and coordination hub for the Division of Student Affairs, supporting Campus Life, Student Success, Health and Well-Being, and Career Services.
This role is responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and student-centered administrative processes while advancing key institutional priorities related to student engagement, retention, and service delivery.
The Coordinator plays a critical role in streamlining communication, supporting cross-functional initiatives, and managing operational workflows that enhance the overall student experience.
Essential Functions
Administrative & Operational Support
Operational Coordination & Systems Support
- Support the coordination and maintenance of student-facing systems (e.g., early alert platforms, engagement tracking tools, communication platforms such as EdSights)
- Assist in compiling and organizing data related to student engagement, retention initiatives, and program effectiveness
- Maintain trackers and dashboards to monitor progress on key initiatives and student outreach efforts
- Identify process gaps and support the implementation of efficient workflows across Student Affairs
Campus Life & Housing Coordination
- Support administrative coordination related to housing operations, including data tracking, communication support, and logistical planning
- Assist with the coordination of move-in/move-out processes and residential programming logistics
- Maintain accurate housing and conduct-related records and assist with reporting needs
- Support communication efforts with residential and commuter students as needed

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, or related field preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in higher education or administrative support role
- Experience working with student populations preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Knowledge of FERPA; familiarity with ADA/Section 504 processes preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and student information/HRIS systems (e.g., ADP or similar platforms preferred)
