About This Position

Status: Full-Time
Our client is seeking a skilled Quality Control Manager! In this role, you will be the gatekeeper for quality across all phases of construction projects. You’ll develop and implement QC plans, oversee inspections and testing, manage documentation, and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure strict adherence to project specifications, contractual requirements, and industry regulations. This role is instrumental in delivering a final product that meets or exceeds client expectations.
Responsibilities include:
- Quality Control Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive QC plans outlining procedures, standards, and inspection protocols.
- Site Inspections & Testing: Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes; perform material testing as required.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and non-conformance; prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, clients, and field teams to uphold quality expectations.
- Issue Resolution: Identify non-conformance, recommend corrective actions, and oversee necessary rework or stoppages when standards are not met.
- Training & Guidance: Provide training to staff and subs on QC procedures and best practices.
- Submittal Reviews: Ensure shop drawings and submittals align with project specifications.
- Pre-Construction Engagement: Lead meetings with subcontractors to establish quality expectations for each project phase.
- Project Close-Out: Manage final inspections and ensure all QC documentation is complete prior to project handover.
- Safety Oversight (as applicable): Assist with enforcing site safety protocols when required.
Qualifications
Required
- US Citizenship required
- Eligible to enter Government facilities
- 5+ years of experience in quality control within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of building and construction practices
- QC experience on federal projects
Preferred
- Familiarity with FAR and DFARS regulations
- Experience with agencies such as VA, FDA, USACE, GSA, FAA, NAVFAC, or NPS
- Experience with hospital and/or laboratory projects
- Experience working with 8(a) sole source or federal IDIQ task orders
- Certifications such as CPE, LEED AP, PMP are a plus
Technical Skills
- Proficient in:
- Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Adobe
- Platforms such as RMS, Kahua, Building Connected, SAM.gov
- Ability to learn and adapt to new platforms and technologies
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (experience may be used in lieu of education requirements)
- Prior experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance is strongly preferred
