Job Summary

As a Mechanical Engineer at Moveras, you will play a key role in the design, analysis, and improvement of our manufacturing processes, testing equipment and transmission systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance testing capabilities, improve product performance, optimize production efficiency, and ensure quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and improve mechanical components and systems related to automatic transmissions.
  • Support CNC and manual mill/turn operations including programming, fixture design and gage control.
  • Partake in process & product failure analysis, determine root cause and implement robust corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement process changes. Create updated documentation as required.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed technical drawings and specifications.
  • Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and material selection to ensure component performance.
  • Conduct testing and validation of new designs and process improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in mechanical engineering and transmission systems.
  • Collect, process and analysis data. Use data to develop recommendations and take action.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Previous work/project experience related manufacturing or mechanical design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Experience with Excel for data collection, chart creation and basic formulas
  • Basic understanding of automobiles and automatic transmissions
  • Knowledge of materials, machining processes, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience working with hand tools and basic measurement devices
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Conduct work in an organized manner. Maintain records and follow standards.
  • Have a can do, willing to learn attitude.
