Job Summary:

The Finance Analyst at Omaha Steaks serves as a strategic partner to leaders across the organization, providing analysis and insights that guide key business decisions. This role supports financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes while evaluating performance trends and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations, helping shape the companys financial direction and ensuring resources align with business priorities. Through strong collaboration, analytical rigor, and a deep understanding of the business, this role plays a critical part in driving Omaha Steaks growth.

Major Job Responsibilities/Job Duties:

  • Partner with Sales & Marketing to build, analyze, and interpret sales and salesrelated metrics. Develop multiyear trend analyses to assess performance, validate assumptions, and support futureyear sales projections.
  • Collaborate with company leadership to develop, maintain, and refine annual budgets and monthly forecasts for support areas. Conduct monthly variance analyses, review results with business partners, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Maintain and support the financial planning and analysis platform (Planful), ensuring data accuracy, system integrity, and effective use of planning tools across the organization.
  • Performs ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making for management, Marketing, Finance, and other departments, delivering clear insights and actionable recommendations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 4- year college degree or equivalent
  • Finance, Accounting, or related degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting. Experience in budgeting, financial reporting and financial analysis
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Solid knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and corporate finance
  • Advanced analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and followthrough
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions
  • Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpretive communication skills
