INTERNAL TITLE: Renovation Technician
STATUS: Full Time
REPORTS TO: Regional Service Manager/Property Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
OVERVIEW
To be successful in this role, you must be disciplined, organized, detail-oriented, results-focused, yet supportive and encouraging. You must also have a strong maintenance and construction skillset, including proficiency in electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair. You must be able to work in a company that values excellence, service, resilience, and doing the right thing.
This position will be based at our North Crossing location (Willow Grove, PA), but must be able and willing to travel to any Friedman property located in Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Experience with electrical maintenance for this position is preferred and a plus.

Our Renovations Technicians are responsible for tending to kitchen and bathroom renovations and apartment remodeling. Every task counts from tiling to hanging cabinets to rewiring a kitchen.
You’re detail-oriented.
Whether it’s double checking an apartment before a move-in, or making sure the drywall prep work looks great prior to painting, you have an eye for detail and you know that the smallest of details make all of the difference.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities listed below are not all-encompassing. Other related duties may be assigned.
1. Carpentry: Framing, installation of kitchen cabinetry, doors/jambs/hardware, trim, molding, etc.
2. Ceramic Tile Installation: Cutting, laying, and grouting
3. Electric: roughing in, moving electrical, installation and repair of light fixtures, switches, outlets, appliances, etc.
4.Plumbing: roughing in, installation and repair of faucets, drains, traps, toilets, diverters, valves, appliances, domestic hot water heaters, etc.
5. Drywall: installation and repair of sheetrock, spackling, sanding, caulking
6. Works as part of a team to ensure on a weekly and monthly basis that all property vacancy and turns are being completed in accordance with company timelines and standards
Responsible to adhere to all safety policies and operate machinery and tools as required
7. Maintains professional and timely communications with residents
8. Interacts pleasantly with residents
9. Follows policies relating to but not limited to Fair Housing, OSHA, and Friedman Realty Group
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. 1-2 years general maintenance experience
3. HVAC Certification a plus
4. Ability to repair plumbing systems, electronic systems and all major appliances
5. Must be able to read and write in English at an intermediate level to read diagrams, meters, instructions, write reports, etc.
6. Must possess a valid and unexpired Driver’s License
