Ganahl Lumber Co.Inventory ControlOrder Pulling - Pasadena, CA - Full Time The Inventory Control position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels of lumber, building materials, and related products. This role ensures proper tracking, counting, receiving, and organization of materials to support sales, yard operations, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory counts of dimensional lumber, plywood, engineered wood, fencing, decking, and hardware.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts.
• Perform full physical inventory audits as scheduled.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Inspect lumber for grade, size, species, and quality compliance.
• Confirm correct quantities and note damaged or incorrect material.
• Ensure proper labeling and pricing of all products.
• Monitor overstock, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
• Update inventory management software accurately and in a timely manner.
• Generate inventory adjustments.
• Communicate inventory issues with sales and purchasing teams.
• Assist yard crew in locating materials for customer orders.
• Assist customers in loading and finding material throughout the yard and store.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year experience in inventory control, warehouse, or lumber yard operations preferred.
• Knowledge of lumber sizes, grades, and species.
• Basic math skills including board footage calculations.
• Experience using inventory software.
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
