As a non-profit community hospital, Fitzgibbon Hospital is vital to the health and well-being of the communities it serves in the Marshall, MO and surrounding area. We are looking for a self-driven compassionate Patient Accounts Representative to join our Patient Accounts team. We offer a competitive salary and benefit package.

A Patient Accounts Representative:

• Positively assists patients with meeting their financial obligations
• Submission of insurance claims to multiple payors
• Contacts insurance companies to follow up on claims and appeals
• Maintains acceptable levels of accounts receivable

• Full-Time - 40 hours per week
• 8a-4:30p - Monday through Friday

• Billing experience - Medicare billing preferred
• Dependable: reliable transportation and positive contact number. Arrives to work on time with a positive attitude.
• Independent: someone who can work independently but understands the value of a strong team and willing to help their team succeed.
• Adaptable/flexible: enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction. Able to multitask and able to refocus after interruption.
• Detail-oriented: establishing an environment that is responsive to patients, guests and employees needs.
• Achievement oriented: enjoys taking on challenges, and willing to research and find answers. Knowledgeable of current Medicare and designated payor billing rules.
• Independent: enjoys working with little direction. Understand the end goal and takes ownership in achieving that goal.
