Registered Nurse (PAT Nurse) at The Surgery Center LLC – Franklin, Wisconsin

The Surgery Center LLC (TSC) is a multi-specialty out patient center in Franklin, and is looking for a full-time RN for our Preadmissions department. Ideal candidate will have med/surg background and Peri-operative experience. This position assesses, prepares, and educates patients before scheduled surgeries or procedures. This includes conducting health history reviews, reviewing necessary tests, and coordinating care to ensure patients are optimized and appropriate for surgery in an out- patient setting.

This full-time position is Monday through Friday based on a 40-hour work week and does not require call, weekends or holiday shifts. TSC provides a competitive wage rate and benefit package and strives to provide a flexible and supportive environment to its employees.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Clinical Director

Functions and Responsibilities:

This position requires excellent communication skills. Pre-Admissions nurse is responsible for gathering and documenting PHI from surgical candidates as well as providing clear instructions for the big day. Works closely with anesthesia, physicians, and physicians office staff to identify any risks and improve safety. Must be organized and able to multi-task.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

License:

Must hold a current Wisconsin State nursing license.

Certification:

Must obtain BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Experience:

Two years of med/surg nursing experience is preferred, ideally in an ambulatory surgery center. PACU experience highly desired.
