Senior Tax Manager - Chattanooga, TN

Position Overview:
The Senior Tax Manager in the High Net Worth / Family Wealth Services practice consults on sophisticated gift and estate planning matters while overseeing tax compliance for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and family partnerships. This role involves technical review, quarterly and year-end planning, team leadership, engagement oversight, business development, and providing solutions to complex tax issues. The firm views this role as a key future leadership position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tax, gift, and estate planning and compliance services to individuals and related trusts.
- Expand expertise in individual, gift, trust, and estate planning and maintain strong professional development.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with clients through exceptional service and communication.
- Identify technical tax issues and propose innovative solutions.
- Manage client engagements to achieve high-quality, efficient outcomes.
- Develop and grow a strong professional network to support business development.
- Set and achieve business development goals for yourself and the team.
- Recruit, motivate, and develop team members.
- Foster collaboration, engagement, inclusion, and accountability within the team.
- Promote organizational values and lead teams with integrity.
- Establish and achieve stretch goals that increase impact and organizational value.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law; Master’s in Tax/LLM preferred.
- 7+ years of recent public accounting experience with individuals, trusts, estates, and partnerships.
- CPA certification required.
- Proven leadership and project/team management experience.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- Strong ability to manage and grow client relationships.
- Experience with tax software and technology tools.
