Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor’s primary responsibilities are to lead our people with the goal of exceeding requirements in employee safety, food safety & quality, regulatory compliance, customer service and employee engagement. More specifically, you will provide the front-line leadership function for our crew of tradespeople and technicians who keep our facility running safely and efficiently. Summ! Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Supervise and lead up to 10 direct reports ensuring that safe work procedures and food-safety regulations are adhered to always.
  • Provide feedback and support to staff, including weekly meetings focused on safety and performance.
  • Co-ordinate with all staff to identify and issue appropriate job assignments with required resources.
  • Develop strong working relationships with all staff and with all departments within the facility.
  • Ensure people have appropriate training for the work assigned.
  • Collaborate with Setup/ Production and Warehouse departments daily.
  • Coach and develop team-members troubleshooting skills.

Technical

  • Organize and manage the key maintenance department activities across all shifts.
  • Coordinate with MRO Purchaser to ensure that proper Spare Parts Inventory levels are maintained at all times.
  • Verify that all completed work complies with the respective tasks list and to an elevated level of quality.
  • Lead and execute new machine setups and major improvement project.
  • Planning and scheduling preventive maintenance tasks though MaintainX (CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software)) and issue job assignments.
  • Evaluate quality, duration, and cost of equipment repair.
  • Track and evaluate maintenance performance and accordingly create maintenance job plan for weekend.
  • Analyze and eliminate repetitive Maintenance problems with cross functional team support.

Summ! Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years food processing or manufacturing environment maintenance supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Experience working with a CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Software)

Additional Assets:

  • Red Seal Millwright or Electrician is an asset.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment (AC Drives, power control circuits, starters, MCC's, motors) Automation & DDC experience
  • Instrumentation (pneumatic controls, hydraulics, transducers, servos)
  • Boiler, refrigeration, and HVAC experience

This full-time opportunity is on-site at our 23011 Fraserwood Way location and offers a competitive salary range (based on experience) between $85,000 - $100,000 in addition to an attractive benefits package including Company paid Extended Health & Dental, RRSP Matching, Health Spending Account and more.

Tuesday - Saturday
5 days per week, 8 hours per day, with some overtime expectations when required.
