About This Position
EEC Solutions is looking for a Planning Support Specialist (Lead Strategy Planner) to support a possible upcoming contract at the Marine Corps Support Facility at New Orleans, LA.
Job Description
Provide expert planning support to the MARFORRES G-5 Plans Division for Service and Joint level strategy, campaign development, and contingency planning. Support the G-5 Plans Division as well as provide guidance to Major Subordinate Commands (MSC) and feedback to COMMARFORRES. Ensure the compliance of MARFORRES programs and associated capabilities via policy compliance, program management, and mission assurance in accordance with DOD, Department of the Navy (DoN), and USMC policies, procedures, standards, and benchmarks. Utilize JWICS for classified planning and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support to G-5 Plans Division to coordinate MARFORRES support to Marine Corps and Combatant Commander strategic and operational programs, projects, and actions.
- Conduct daily liaison between HQMC PP&O Plans Division (PLN), MARFORRES AC/S G-3/5, Deputy G-3/5, G-5 Plans Officer, G-3/5 Section Heads, and MSCs to ensure MARFORRES alignment with OPLANs and CONPLANs.
- Employ in-depth knowledge of MCPP and JPP to conduct program management decision support actions for the Plans Division, including POA&M development and tracking.
- Analyze and review OPLANs, CONPLANs, and supporting plans; analyze relevant joint, service, and MARFORRES-level directives.
- Coordinate planning efforts with Combatant Commands (CCMDs) and MARFORs.
- Develop Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) for mobilization.
- Support development of Marine Corps mobilization plans, processes, procedures, and policies in support of enterprise-level programs/initiatives.
- Assist and advise the G-35 Division Head in strategy and campaign development, deliberate and long-range operational planning, DoD policy, and service/joint-level future readiness requirements.
- Develop, review, and monitor MARFORRES equity in all CCMD contingency plans, including TPFDD lists.
- Provide liaison to higher, adjacent, and external headquarters planning organizations.
- Employ in-depth knowledge of MCO 3061.1 (Total Force Mobilization and Deployment Plan) to convey mobilization processes and procedures to service and joint level working groups.
- Assist the Department in task management utilizing ETMS2 and AMHS.
Minimun Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree; MANDATORY Graduate of SAW, SAMS, MAWS, or SAASS.
- 10+ years at the Service Component or Combatant Command level.
- Mastery of Total Force Mobilization and Activation processes.
- Active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance required (JWICS access required). A verification of TS/SCI eligibility will be conducted prior to interview.
- Advanced Warfighting School diploma is required required prior to offer.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCMD or MARFOR planning experience; proficiency in ETMS2, AMHS, and JWICS
