The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our residents’ satisfaction.Responsibilities

• Help in the preparation and execution of all food production,
• Have mastery over all cooking techniques utilized in batch and line cooking of standard American fare.
• Ensure that the kitchen operates efficiently.
• Have full control of the planning and directing food preparation for the week.
• Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.
• Manage and train kitchen staff.
• Assist with ordering and inventory.
• Comply with and enforce strict sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Fill in when needed.
• Flexible with schedule.
• Following, interpreting, and elevating company recipes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
• Flexibility and availability
• Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions.
• Prefer some familiarity with senior community environment and cooking in this venue.
