This role plays a key part in supporting the management and processing of insurance benefit claims, with a focus on disability and life insurance services. You will act as a technical expert within your team, contributing to the analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex operational cases. The position involves applying structured methodologies to evaluate situations, propose action plans, and support return-to-work or disability management processes. You will also help improve internal tools, processes, and documentation to enhance service quality and efficiency. Working in a collaborative environment, you will support users and stakeholders by ensuring proper application of procedures and systems. This is a role with strong analytical depth, where precision, adaptability, and decision-making directly impact service outcomes and client well-being.

Accountabilities:
  • Provide technical expertise to support the resolution of complex operational cases related to insurance benefits, disability management, and return-to-work processes.
  • Conduct specialized research, analysis, and diagnostics to develop actionable recommendations, intervention plans, and case management strategies.
  • Support the application and optimization of manual and automated systems, including tools used for data processing and case tracking.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal procedures, methods, and operational guidelines to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Produce technical documentation and training materials to support knowledge sharing and user competency development.
  • Support internal stakeholders in the application of standards, processes, and systems related to insurance operations.
  • Act as a reference person for complex technical questions and operational problem-solving within your area of expertise.
Requirements:
  • College diploma (DEC) in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in insurance, benefits administration, case management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and propose structured solutions.
  • Experience working with operational systems, data management tools, or process-driven environments.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to adapt approaches based on evolving situations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to support and guide internal users or stakeholders.
  • Client-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and problem resolution.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
  • Nice to have: experience in disability management, insurance claims processing, or health-related case support.
