This is a senior commercial leadership role focused on expanding business opportunities across North America within a highly specialized healthcare and clinical research environment. You will be responsible for driving strategic growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business with key accounts while building long-term relationships with senior decision-makers. The role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, consultative selling, and cross-functional leadership to position tailored solutions that meet complex client needs. You will lead end-to-end sales processes, from opportunity identification to contract negotiation and successful handover to operational teams. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will ensure alignment between client expectations and service delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction. This is a high-impact role in a global, mission-driven organization where your work directly contributes to advancing medical research and improving patient outcomes.
- Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities across assigned accounts within the North American market.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, developing deep understanding of client organizations and needs.
- Design strategic account plans and sales strategies tailored to each customer opportunity.
- Lead the full sales cycle, including opportunity qualification, proposal development, client presentations, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Collaborate with internal operations, proposal teams, and project leadership to develop tailored solutions and pricing strategies.
- Ensure smooth transition of secured business to operational teams, transferring key client knowledge and expectations.
- Monitor client satisfaction, proactively address concerns, and support change management or scope adjustments when required.
- Represent the organization at industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities to generate and nurture new leads.
- University degree in health sciences or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 3–5+ years of business development or sales experience within the CRO or healthcare services industry.
- Proven track record of success in complex, consultative B2B sales environments.
- Strong understanding of client relationship management and strategic account development.
- Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required for client engagement and industry events.
- Highly collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across operational and commercial teams.
