Job Summary
Ability to layout and weld pipe together by a combination of, or by single process using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, or GTAW to specified weld procedures.

Qualifications

One year certificate from college or technical school or related experience and training
6G certification from prior employment.
2-5 year’s experience working in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read blue prints and use simple math skills
Ability to read a tape measure
Must be able to work as a team
Ability to pass a drug test
Knowledge of (GMAW) STT process (surface tension transfer)
Knowledge of SMAW 6010 downhill welding

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions
Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
Cleans weld joint or workpiece
Operation of overhead cranes
Rigging of workpiece
Cut pipe to length using oxy-fuel torch or saw
Operate mechanical beveler
