As a core member of our accounting team, the ideal candidate will require a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills along with a excellent knowledge of accounting principles will be essential in performing your duties effectively. You should be comfortable working relatively independently and capable of holding yourself accountable for completing tasks on time and with integrity.

About The Role

• Title: Accountant
• Job Location: St. Petersburg, FL
• Type: On-site
• Standard Office Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the maintaining of accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll records
• Record financial transactions, such as invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries, into the accounting system
• Ensure all financial data is properly classified, categorized, and reconciled
• Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded
• Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for financial records, invoices, receipts, and other relevant documents
• Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Present financial reports and analysis to management, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software and MS Office/Google Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize workload effectively and maintain efficient bookkeeping processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior in handling financial information
• Willingness to stay updated with changes in accounting regulations, laws, and best practices through professional development and training opportunities

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $105,000 (Commensurate to experience/qualifications)
