About The Role

As a Loss Prevention Supervisor you will lead day-to-day efforts to protect company assets, and provide a safe environment for customers and employees. In this hourly, full-time role, you will supervise a team of loss prevention associates, oversee investigations, and partner closely with store and operations leadership to implement policies, procedures, and training. You will use your knowledge of loss prevention practices, your ability to analyze trends, and your strong communication skills to minimize risk, support compliance with company standards, and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of asset protection.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise daily activities of loss prevention staff, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance feedback
  • Monitor store and facility operations to identify theft, fraud, safety hazards, and procedural violations
  • Conduct and oversee internal and external theft investigations, including evidence gathering, documentation, and interviews
  • Ensure proper apprehension procedures are followed in accordance with company policy and all applicable laws
  • Review surveillance footage, exception reports, and transaction data to detect patterns of loss and suspicious activity
  • Train and coach team members and store staff on loss prevention policies, safety procedures, and best practices
  • Collaborate with store, operations, and HR leadership to address loss trends, safety concerns, and policy compliance
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports on incidents, investigations, and loss metrics for management review
  • Support physical security measures, including alarm systems, access controls, key management, and CCTV operations
  • Assist with audits and inspections to ensure adherence to company standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols
  • Promote a strong culture of safety and security by modeling professional conduct and enforcing company expectations
  • Participate in incident response and emergency procedures, helping coordinate actions and communication when needed
  • Recommend process improvements and preventive measures to reduce shrink and operational risk across the location(s)

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in loss prevention, asset protection, security, or a related field, with some supervisory or lead responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of basic loss prevention practices, physical security concepts, and safety standards
  • Familiarity with applicable laws and company policies related to theft, apprehensions, workplace safety, and privacy
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced retail or operations environment
  • Proficient in observing, analyzing, and interpreting behaviors, data, and trends related to loss and risk
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear incident and investigative reports
  • Comfort using surveillance systems, reporting tools, and basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing)
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in stressful or sensitive situations
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management to balance multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work an hourly, full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods, and to respond quickly to incidents
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in loss prevention, security, or criminal justice are a plus

The pay range for this role is:
23 - 24.50 USD per hour(Provo Marriott)
