About the Role Introduction –

This is a valuable opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Oxford University Press’s School Education business by strengthening customer engagement and driving product adoption. As a Manager, Professional Development, you will play a key role in increasing market share by building strong relationships with schools and enhancing the effectiveness of sales initiatives.

This role offers a positive career move for individuals looking to expand their impact beyond traditional roles into customer engagement, product training, and value-driven selling. You will be contributing to a purpose-led organisation focused on delivering high-quality learning solutions and improving educational outcomes.

The role is particularly engaging as it involves direct interaction with schools, delivering product presentations, designing engagement activities, and supporting sales teams through training and enablement. You will work in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams, making it both dynamic and impactful.

Opportunity –

In this role, you will:

  • Drive revenue from existing user schools through retention, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities
  • Conduct product briefings and presentations in schools, including preparing and delivering sessions as required
  • Ensure timely completion of SLAs and adherence to SOPs
  • Design and execute innovative customer engagement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Ensure prompt resolution of customer issues, maintaining minimal complaint turnaround time
  • Work towards improving product usage and adoption across user schools
  • Conduct internal product training sessions to strengthen the knowledge and effectiveness of sales teams
  • Maintain accurate reporting, auditing, and documentation of activities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, and product teams
  • Engage with external stakeholders including school heads and teachers across private and public institutions

Your role will directly influence customer retention, product adoption, and revenue growth. By enhancing engagement and enabling sales teams with strong product knowledge, you will contribute significantly to strengthening OUP’s market position and customer relationships.

About You Essential Criteria
  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline with strong communication skills
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of computer applications
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in teacher training and school teaching
  • Ability to manage customer relationships and drive engagement initiatives effectively
