Inside Sales Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Inside Sales Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing inside sales team while driving revenue growth and customer engagement.

Accountabilities:

As an Inside Sales Manager, you will oversee sales operations, team performance, and strategic initiatives to maximize growth opportunities. You will provide coaching, develop sales capabilities, and ensure the team consistently achieves performance targets through strong leadership and data-driven practices.

  • Directly manage, coach, and develop a team of inside sales representatives, fostering accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and execute sales strategies that increase market share, territory penetration, and revenue performance.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, goal-setting meetings, and sales development activities to improve team effectiveness.
  • Monitor sales metrics, funnel performance, and activity data using reporting tools and dashboards to identify opportunities and address challenges.
  • Lead weekly team meetings to provide direction, training, motivation, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives to build a strong sales organization.
  • Partner with senior leadership to improve sales performance through effective performance management and strategic planning.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with sales, retail, and professional development teams to create a consistent customer experience.
  • Develop relationships with schools, educational organizations, and community partners to strengthen customer engagement.
  • Stay informed on customer needs, market trends, funding opportunities, and competitive landscapes to refine sales approaches.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities including scheduling, time tracking, reporting, and operational processes.
  • Promote best practices and operational excellence across the sales organization.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced sales leader with a strong background in inside sales management, team development, and performance optimization. You should have excellent communication skills, strong business judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • 5+ years of inside sales or relevant sales experience with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing sales teams toward measurable goals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence teams and stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze sales performance metrics and use data to drive decisions.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and sales reporting tools preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively upward, downward, and cross-functionally within an organization.
  • High level of professionalism, sound judgment, critical-thinking skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, and commitment to team success.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while adapting availability based on business and customer needs.
  • Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail.
