Oracle Business Analyst - Finance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Oracle Business Analyst - Finance based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Oracle Business Analyst to drive financial systems transformation within a global enterprise. In this role, you will partner with finance, accounting, and technology teams to optimize Oracle E-Business Suite solutions, streamline financial processes, and improve operational efficiency. You will play a key role in analyzing business requirements, implementing system enhancements, and ensuring compliance with financial controls and regulatory standards. Working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, you will contribute to strategic ERP initiatives while supporting business growth through technology-driven solutions. This fully remote position offers the chance to work on impactful projects with global stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:
  • Analyze, document, and optimize finance-related business processes, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Subledger Accounting (SLA), tax, audit, and financial close activities.
  • Evaluate complex business requirements, identify process improvement opportunities, and translate business needs into scalable Oracle E-Business Suite solutions.
  • Configure and support Oracle finance modules, including invoicing, tax compliance, electronic billing, and financial reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and cross-functional teams to ensure system configurations align with operational goals, business requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead requirements gathering workshops and develop functional specifications for new enhancements and system improvements.
  • Design, execute, and coordinate testing activities to validate system functionality, financial data integrity, and process accuracy.
  • Manage financial enhancement initiatives using established project management and SDLC methodologies while coordinating with technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide end-user training, functional support, and comprehensive documentation to promote successful adoption and ongoing compliance.
  • Support internal audits, financial controls, and compliance initiatives through accurate documentation and effective system governance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Oracle Business Analyst with strong expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) finance modules.
  • Extensive experience with Oracle Financials, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Subledger Accounting, tax configuration, invoicing, collections, and financial close processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, audit requirements, tax systems, compliance standards, and business process optimization.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex business processes, define functional requirements, and deliver Oracle-based business solutions.
  • Experience with business process modeling, implementation methodologies, testing strategies, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow ITBM, Vertex, Billtrust, and CRM integrations such as Salesforce is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with global, cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work primarily East Coast business hours (8:00 AM–5:00 PM ET).
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
