What’s the job all about?

The Operations Associate supports the firm's investment operations functions by managing fixed income trade settlement, cash management, reconciliations, portfolio accounting support, client reporting, onboarding, and data integrity oversight. This role serves as a key resource for both clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely processing across the trade lifecycle while maintaining operational controls and data quality. The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, a client service mindset, and a solid understanding of investment operations workflows, including Bloomberg AIM, SWIFT, DTCC, custodial relationships, and fixed income securities. Experience with Clearwater Analytics, investment accounting, performance reporting, or composites is a plus.

The essential functions of the role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage the full trade lifecycle for fixed income securities, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
  • Process trades through Bloomberg AIM and coordinate settlement instructions utilizing SWIFT, DTCC, CTM, and Alert.
  • Monitor trade activity, resolve settlement exceptions, and coordinate with custodians, brokers, counterparties, and internal teams to ensure timely settlement.
  • Support daily cash management activities, including funding trades, monitoring balances, forecasting cash needs, and ensuring timely cash settlements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, providing timely, accurate, and professional responses while escalating complex matters when appropriate.
  • Support internal teams by resolving operational issues related to onboarding, client reporting, portfolio accounting, cash movements, and trade settlement.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new client accounts, including account setup, documentation review, custodian coordination, and trading readiness.
  • Perform daily reconciliation and data integrity reviews, investigate discrepancies, and ensure portfolio data is accurate, complete, and available to support investment decision-making.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to support portfolio accounting and data management activities.
  • Process corporate actions, broker communications, and trade support activities while developing expertise in custodian relationships and settlement workflows.
  • Contribute to the production and quality control of recurring client reports, including monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate records, operational documentation, and standard operating procedures while adhering to regulatory requirements and firm policies.
  • Prepare operational reports and participate in projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, responsiveness, accountability, and a commitment to meeting critical deadlines related to trade settlement, reconciliations, reporting, and client service.

This Team Member will have:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Industry Experience: 1+ years in fixed income trade operations, settlements, or finance

Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Bloomberg AIM, SWIFT, DTCC, and ALERT preferred. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office is essential.

Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of fixed income securities, settlement processes, and cash management.

Bonus Skills: Experience with investment accounting, composites, performance measurement, CAPS, or Clearwater Analytics highly desirable.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage relationships with counterparties, custodians, and internal stakeholders.

Analytical Ability: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

$60,000 - $70,000 plus bonus
