The Clinical Educator plays a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is in at Union Health.
The Med/Surg and Medical Rehabilitation Clinical Educator has responsibilities for the duties of the position within 4EA, 4EC, and MRU.
The clinical educator is part of a collaborative Registered Nurse educator team. The clinical educator works collaboratively with other educators, nurse leaders, and organizational groups to design and execute plans for clinical growth, professional development, and engagement in the nursing role at Union Hospital.

Clinical Educator Details
Schedule: 40 hr/wk Full-time salaried
Shift: Days, with flexibility to meet employee and unit needs
The Clinical Educator works collaboratively with other educators, nurse leaders, and organizational groups to design and execute plans for clinical growth, professional development, and engagement in the nursing role at Union Hospital.
Essential Job Duties:
- Clinical Unit Education
- Unit orientation of new employees
- Unit competency management
- Ongoing development of unit education based on organization and unit needs
- Support in achievement of unit and organizational goals Professional Development
- Displays leadership qualities to guide, coach, and mentor nursing excellence and positive patient experience.
- Encourages and guides participation in the Professional Advancement of Clinical Excellence program (career ladder)
- Active in Nurse Residency
Qualification/License/Certification:
- Current IN RN license
- MSN preferred, will accept BSN working towards MSN (MSN required within 3 years of hire)
- Specialty certification in clinical concentration or nursing professional development preferred Minimum of three (3) years of successful clinical experience in acute care, prefer Critical Care experience.
