Social Media Manager in Randburg, Northern Cape at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Social Media Manager based in South Africa.

As a Social Media Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day social presence across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. You’ll manage the full content lifecycle, from planning and creation to publishing, engagement, and performance analysis. The role combines creativity with strong organization, requiring you to produce engaging posts, short-form videos, captions, and scripts. You’ll adapt content to different platforms while maintaining a distinct and consistent voice for each brand. By monitoring audience responses and content performance, you’ll continuously refine the social media strategy. This is a remote, part-time opportunity with approximately four hours of work per day and potential for additional hours based on the value you bring.

• Plan, organize, and maintain content calendars across multiple brands.
• Create engaging social media content, including posts, short-form videos, captions, and simple scripts.
• Adapt content appropriately for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook while maintaining platform-specific best practices.
• Publish content consistently according to established schedules and priorities.
• Manage comments, direct messages, and day-to-day community engagement in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a distinct, consistent brand voice across different social media accounts.
• Monitor content performance and audience engagement, using insights to improve future content.
• Collaborate with the wider team to gather product information, identify content opportunities, and develop new ideas.
• Stay organized and maintain consistent daily attention to social media activities.

Requirements:

• Previous experience managing social media accounts and creating content for brands.
• Strong content creation skills, particularly for short-form video; appearing on camera is not required.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to create engaging captions and basic scripts.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook content formats and audiences.
• Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage content schedules consistently.
• Proactive approach, sound judgment, and friendly, professional communication style.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a wider team.
• Comfortable reviewing performance metrics and using social media insights to inform content decisions.
• Reliable computer, internet connection, and suitable setup for remote work.
• Comfortable using Google Workspace and other digital collaboration tools.
