The position is responsible for defining and executing scalable analytic frameworks across complex healthcare datasets, ensuring that reporting and insights are accurate, actionable, and aligned with contractual and organizational goals. Operating as the highest-level analytic authority within production analytics environments, the role blends deep technical expertise with strategic leadership and executive influence. It involves leading a team of analysts and BI professionals, elevating methodological rigor, and establishing standards for scalable analytics delivery. This role is responsible for defining and leading enterprise analytics strategy across healthcare-focused data products, ensuring high-quality insights and scalable frameworks that support population health, risk, and medical economics initiatives. It combines hands-on analytic oversight with leadership of a growing analytics team, while shaping governance, methodology, and performance standards.
- Define and execute analytics strategy across large-scale healthcare data and reporting environments
- Lead and mentor a team of SQL analysts and BI developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and professional growth
- Architect scalable analytical frameworks for medical economics, risk adjustment, population health, and performance measurement
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency across dashboards, reporting pipelines, and production analytics systems
- Serve as the senior escalation point for complex analytical, methodological, and data integrity challenges
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Actuarial, Finance, and Customer Success teams
- Present insights and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and influence decision-making
- Identify opportunities for automation, reusable analytics assets, and scalable reporting infrastructure
- Establish quality standards, governance practices, and performance metrics for analytics outputs
- Support continuous improvement of analytics workflows, including adoption of modern tools and AI-enabled capabilities
This role requires extensive healthcare analytics experience combined with strong technical depth in SQL, data modeling, and dashboarding tools. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of leading high-impact analytics teams, influencing executive decisions, and operating within complex healthcare or value-based care environments.
- 8–10+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, including medical economics, risk, or population health analytics
- Advanced SQL expertise, including optimization of complex queries in large-scale data environments
- Strong experience with BI and dashboarding tools (e.g., QuickSight, Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
- Demonstrated experience designing scalable analytical methodologies and frameworks
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing analytics teams
- Strong executive communication and data storytelling skills
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving strategic, data-informed decisions
- Deep understanding of healthcare data ecosystems and performance measurement models
- Experience working in cloud-based environments (AWS preferred) and modern data stacks (dbt a plus)
- Strong leadership presence, with the ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous environments
- Competitive annual salary range of $180,000–$200,000
