As a Mobile Meal Aide in JASA's Brooklyn Home Delivered Meals Program, you'll play an important role in ensuring homebound older adults receive nutritious meals safely and reliably. You'll support meal preparation, packaging, kitchen sanitation, and meal delivery while providing compassionate and respectful service to clients.
Schedule- Monday – Friday
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 35 hours per week

- Help support the daily operations of an essential community service.
- Package hot and cold meals for delivery.
- Prepare meals for distribution.
- Follow proper food handling procedures.
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment.
- Maintain sanitary kitchen and storage areas.
- Assist with organizing food and supplies.
- Deliver meals to congregate sites and homebound older adults.
- Follow assigned delivery routes.
- Provide courteous, respectful customer service.
- Accept voluntary participant contributions.
- Issue receipts and reconcile collections with the program coordinator.
- Report client wellness or safety concerns immediately, including:
- Client not answering the door
- Changes in appearance or behavior
- Safety or wellness concerns
- Contact supervisors whenever assistance is needed.
- Assist with shopping for homebound clients as assigned.
- Substitute for drivers when needed.
- Support vehicle maintenance and daily program operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to lift heavy meal containers and supplies.
- Ability to climb stairs, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in both kitchen and delivery environments.
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid New York State Driver's License preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if needed.
