Job Description
Works independently of the Construction Managers and Project Managers direction while maintaining viable communications with the team’s leadership.
Project Documentation:
Review and understand the project’s contract documents, including the drawings and written specifications.
Participate in constructability reviews of the documents to understand the design intent.
Review and approve established site logistics, including the fulfillment of the “Site Startup Checklist.”
Document the field record of the project by recording and distributing “Daily Reports,” “Meeting Minutes,” and other pertinent documentation as directed by the CM/PM while maintaining the organization of these records for immediate review on the project site.
Project Site:
Supervise the construction effort (in conjunction with the CM), including craft employees and subcontractors, to ensure the project is constructed per design, budget, and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, government inspectors and others accordingly.
Supervise onsite functions, including scheduling, sequencing, engineering, material control, and safety.
Approve weekly 2-week “Look Ahead” scheduling, communicating immediate field tasking.
Ensure all onsite personnel comply with Project site rules and regulations, Safety program requirements, document all violations, notify project management, and recommend/ implement corrective actions as required.
Additional Responsibilities:
Resolve unforeseen conditions, including unplanned interferences, contract discrepancies, and other construction conflict problems and disputes between the contractor, site staff, inspector, project manager and professional consultants.
Conflict resolution/corrective measures include resolving conflicts with trade sequencing and scheduling to maintain the project schedule.
Take the necessary corrective action(s) to mitigate impacts to the schedule and budget (in conjunction with the Project Manager).
Provide technical assistance, including interpretation of drawings and specifications and other contract documents for constructability, biddability, site access, staging, and material lay-down.
Recommend construction methods, equipment, and changes to maximize the project's success.
Receive Change Order Requests (COR) from the subcontractors.
Research and validate relative to the contract documents in conjunction with the Construction Manager
Supervision of site staff, including directing the site team tactfully and in a highly communicative fashion.
Active direction of site team tasking (administration, accounting, and MEP coordination) in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- Constructiv is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary for this role is $140,000.00 - $180,000.00. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.
