Job Description

Director, Demand Generation

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Demand Generation based in United States.

As Director, Demand Generation, you will own and scale an integrated demand engine designed to generate measurable pipeline and revenue growth. You will lead programs spanning digital acquisition, lifecycle marketing, events, partnerships, ABM, sales-led initiatives, and inbound growth. The role sits at the intersection of Growth, Sales, RevOps, Partnerships, and Product Marketing, translating strategy into coordinated execution and business results. You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on involvement, continuously testing channels, optimizing conversion, and improving pipeline velocity. Success will require strong analytical discipline, operational rigor, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment where priorities can evolve quickly. You will also help build scalable systems, processes, and future demand-generation capabilities that support long-term growth.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for developing a high-performing, full-funnel demand function while connecting marketing activity directly to qualified pipeline, revenue, and business outcomes.

  • Own quarterly and annual sales-qualified pipeline targets, with accountability for revenue contribution, efficiency, attribution, and ROI.
  • Develop and execute an integrated demand generation strategy across digital, lifecycle, events, partnerships, ABM, and sales-led programs.
  • Lead the full-funnel demand engine from awareness through pipeline acceleration, conversion, retention, and expansion.
  • Drive paid and digital demand across LinkedIn, Google, retargeting, and emerging channels.
  • Develop event-driven demand strategies that maximize pipeline impact before, during, and after tradeshows, ecosystem events, partner activations, and other strategic moments.
  • Build SEO, AEO, content, and inbound programs that improve discoverability, authority, conversion, and qualified pipeline.
  • Own web strategy, landing page optimization, and conversion rate improvement initiatives.
  • Establish a disciplined experimentation framework to test new channels, improve conversion, increase efficiency, and accelerate pipeline velocity.
  • Support account-based and sales-led programs designed to shorten enterprise sales cycles and create expansion opportunities.
  • Apply AI-enabled workflows to improve campaign execution, targeting, personalization, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Develop attribution models that connect multi-channel marketing activity to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
  • Build scalable demand-generation systems, playbooks, processes, and operating practices.
  • Partner closely with Sales, RevOps, Product Marketing, and Partnerships to align demand programs with go-to-market priorities.
  • Manage external agencies and vendors across paid media, SEO, web, and digital programs, ensuring strong execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Help develop future demand-generation resources, including agency partners and potential direct reports.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced B2B demand-generation leader who combines strategic thinking, analytical rigor, hands-on execution, and strong cross-functional leadership.

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS demand generation, growth marketing, or integrated revenue marketing.
  • Proven success generating measurable sales-qualified pipeline and revenue impact rather than focusing solely on lead volume.
  • Experience owning full-funnel demand strategies across digital, lifecycle, events, and integrated campaigns.
  • Strong hands-on experience with paid media, demand-generation systems, and agency management.
  • Deep understanding of SEO, AEO, CRO, website performance, and inbound demand strategy.
  • Experience managing agencies and external vendors against clear performance expectations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including experience connecting marketing activity to pipeline, attribution, and revenue performance.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution and program optimization.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving startup or scale-up environments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, decision-making, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • High standards for execution quality, experimentation, and measurable business impact.
  • Proficiency with modern marketing technology and AI-enabled workflows.
  • A strong interest in supporting technology and initiatives related to national security.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience marketing to enterprise B2B SaaS buyers.
  • Experience marketing to defense, federal, or other regulated customers.
  • Background in high-growth startup or scale-stage environments.
  • Experience supporting long and complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Familiarity with ABM, partner-driven go-to-market strategies, and ecosystem-led demand programs.
  • Candidates must reside in an approved hiring hub: DC/Maryland/Virginia; Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, NC; Denver/Colorado Springs, CO; or Dallas/Fort Worth, TX.

Benefits:

  • $175,000–$185,000 base salary.
  • Potential eligibility for equity awards and discretionary bonuses.
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents.
  • 401(k) with a 3% company contribution.
  • Comprehensive wellness benefits, including One Medical membership, mental health resources, and family planning support.
  • Equity incentive plan.
  • New-hire technology and home office stipend.
  • Annual professional development stipend.
  • Flexible paid time off and federal holidays.
  • Generous parental leave.
  • Flexible remote work opportunities.
  • Employee referral bonus program.
  • A purpose-driven environment focused on meaningful technology and mission-critical challenges.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and increased leadership responsibility.
