This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Manager based in United States.
As an Account Manager, you will manage and grow relationships with existing K-12 education partners across the West sales region.
You will focus on renewals, product adoption, upselling, and long-term customer success while helping educators better support English Learners.
The role combines strategic account management, consultative selling, relationship building, and territory planning.
You will work closely with sales, partner success, and development teams to understand customer needs and identify opportunities for growth.
You will become a trusted advisor to district stakeholders while developing deep knowledge of education policies, instructional priorities, and product applications.
Success will be measured through pipeline development, renewal performance, expansion opportunities, customer engagement, and sales quota attainment.
This position is remote-friendly but requires residence in California and travel of up to 30% to meet partners and represent the organization in the field.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of 100+ partner accounts across an assigned territory, building strong and lasting relationships with district and education stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a strategic territory plan focused on customer engagement, renewals, product adoption, and expansion opportunities.
- Conduct product demonstrations, renewal conversations, upsell meetings, and other customer engagement activities with increasing independence.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline, identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships, and successfully close renewal and upsell contracts.
- Collaborate with Partner Success and regional sales teams to develop engagement strategies for states and school districts.
- Develop expertise in territory-specific education policies, pricing considerations, instructional initiatives, competitive dynamics, and product applications.
- Track all sales activity, account information, and opportunities accurately in Salesforce and other business systems.
- Represent the organization at conferences and independently visit partners to strengthen relationships and support expansion opportunities.
- Share customer and market insights with sales leadership and internal teams to inform product development, competitive intelligence, and sales strategy.
- Work toward achieving or exceeding annual sales quotas while maintaining a strong focus on customer value and long-term partnership success.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of successful sales experience in the K-12 education market.
- Knowledge of the English Learner (ELL) landscape and familiarity with the needs of educators, specialists, and school districts.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain an ongoing sales pipeline aligned with revenue and growth objectives.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage 100+ partner accounts across a territory.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels of an organization.
- Strong relationship-building and consultative selling capabilities, with the ability to operate successfully in a competitive sales environment.
- Strong technical proficiency and confidence navigating complex software platforms and business systems.
- Experience using Salesforce or another customer relationship management (CRM) platform.
- Ability to learn and confidently demonstrate software products to external audiences.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn, with a strong drive to contribute to customer and business growth.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required, with the role requiring residence in California and field travel of up to 30%; seasonal peaks may increase travel requirements.
