The Content Strategist is a client-facing role focused on developing and executing high-impact content and SEO strategies for enterprise B2B clients.
You will combine strategic thinking, analytics, storytelling, and project management to drive measurable marketing outcomes.
The role involves building tailored strategies based on business goals, audience insights, competitor research, and historical performance.
You will manage client relationships, coordinate internal specialists, and ensure campaigns are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Data from analytics, CRM, and SEO platforms will help you set goals, measure performance, and continuously optimize your approach.
Working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, you will partner closely with clients and internal leadership to identify opportunities and solve complex challenges.
This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on B2B technology and SaaS marketing programs while staying at the forefront of SEO, content, AI, and automation.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop customized content and SEO strategies aligned with client business objectives, marketing goals, campaign performance, audience insights, and industry best practices.
  • Create creative briefs and compelling content campaigns informed by competitor research, audience behavior, and opportunities across search and content.
  • Apply strategic frameworks and best practices around LTV, customer generation, share of SERP, and content production.
  • Use data from Google Analytics, CRM systems, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and other sources to establish measurable client goals and continuously optimize strategies.
  • Manage the execution of strategic plans using Asana, delegating tasks to internal specialists and coordinating responsibilities, timelines, and deliverables with clients.
  • Partner with content writers, designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and meet client expectations.
  • Serve as the primary interface between clients and internal teams, building trusted relationships and acting as a strategic consultant for client businesses.
  • Communicate proactively with clients and internal leadership regarding timelines, progress, roadblocks, opportunities, account changes, and strategic adjustments.
  • Report regularly on strategy performance through bi-weekly client meetings, monthly and quarterly reports, and bi-annual business review presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth, including additional services, expanded content or SEO initiatives, upsells, cross-sells, and client referrals.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record implementing SEO and content strategies, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret website traffic, SEO performance, and marketing data.
  • Experience using industry tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and other crawling or SEO platforms.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to build relationships and manage key stakeholders effectively.
  • Proven organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Previous agency experience is required.
  • Experience working with B2B technology and/or SaaS companies is required.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content strategy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while taking ownership of client outcomes.
  • Strong interest in emerging marketing technologies, with a willingness to continuously learn how AI and automation can improve marketing and operational processes.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while remaining proactive, organized, and responsive.

Benefits:

  • Remote-first position with the opportunity to work 100% virtually from a home office in Canada.
  • Set living wage and competitive compensation.
  • Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance coverage for employees and families.
  • Employer-paid medical coverage for employees, with a company contribution toward dependent coverage.
  • Access to certified therapists through Spring Health and Headspace membership for mental well-being.
  • Gympass membership and resources supporting physical wellness.
  • Unlimited PTO with a two-week minimum, paid company holidays, and your birthday off.
  • End-of-year company recharge from December 24 through January 1.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Traditional and Roth 401(k) with a 3% company match.
  • Annual bonus based on tenure, increasing over time.
  • Annual anniversary trip with peers and executive leadership.
  • Remote collaboration through tools such as Zoom and Slack.
  • Professional environment with a focus on learning, innovation, and inclusive collaboration.
