WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
The Night Auditor is one of the most important and versatile roles in the hotel. While the rest of the property sleeps, you’re closing out the day’s financials, balancing every revenue department, preparing the Front Office for the morning shift, and serving as the overnight Manager on Duty. You’ll also cover the front desk and the PBX switchboard, so no two nights are exactly the same. If you’re detail-oriented, self-directed, comfortable working independently, and enjoy a role where you’re genuinely responsible for the whole hotel, this is an exceptional opportunity.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform all nightly audit procedures as established by the Hotel and Windsor Hospitality, ensuring all revenue is posted to the correct departments.
- Complete all required nightly audit reports accurately and on time.
- Verify the status of all wake-up call requests and ensure they are properly handled.
- Balance all cash receipts and work performed during the audit shift; make cash deposits as required.
- Prepare the front office for the morning (A) shift and reset the day’s business in the property management system.
- Serve as Guest Services Agent during overnight hours, providing check-in, check-out, and general guest assistance.
- Act as Manager on Duty during overnight hours; respond to guest needs, property emergencies, and escalations.
- Attend and actively participate in all Front Office meetings.
SKILLS & ABILITIES YOU BRING
- Ability to understand and apply mathematical and accounting concepts to balance hotel revenue departments and complete financial audit reports.
- Ability to work math problems quickly and accurately under time pressure.
- Proficiency with computers, hotel PMS systems, and related equipment; ability to learn new systems efficiently.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to report financial information accurately to management.
- Ability to plan and direct the work of front office staff and accounting functions during the overnight shift.
- Fine motor dexterity; ability to accurately operate a switchboard or computer keyboard throughout the shift.
SCHEDULE & HOURS
This position is on call, with schedules that may vary based on business need. Flexibility to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, may be required. Specific shift details will be discussed during the interview process.
