About the Role

As Senior PPA & Offtake Originator, you will play a key role in commercializing WLF Energy's growing portfolio of battery storage projects.

You will take ownership of the development and execution of Power Purchase Agreements and other commercial offtake models, from identifying and developing opportunities through commercial negotiations, contract structuring and successful closing.

The role combines sales-driven business development, commercial origination and energy market expertise. You will work closely with customers, energy trading counterparties, legal, finance and project teams to develop commercially sound agreements that support the monetization and long-term value creation of WLF Energy's storage portfolio.

A key part of your role will be translating complex energy market developments, project economics and commercial requirements into attractive and bankable contractual solutions.

As WLF Energy continues to grow, you will also contribute to building our internal PPA and commercial offtake capabilities and help establish the structures, processes and market expertise needed to scale the business.

The role is based in Germany and follows a hybrid working model, combining office presence in Frankfurt with remote work and regular customer and market meetings. The position does not require you to live in Frankfurt.

What You'll Do

• Originate and close Power Purchase Agreements and other commercial offtake arrangements for WLF Energy's battery storage capacity and flexibility
• Build, develop and maintain a qualified pipeline of industrial, commercial and utility customers
• Identify new commercial opportunities and develop customer relationships across relevant energy markets
• Represent WLF Energy in commercial negotiations with offtake counterparties and other strategic partners
• Structure PPA pricing, volumes, commercial terms and risk allocation based on project economics and market conditions
• Develop commercially sound pricing and contract structures in line with approved risk and margin parameters
• Work closely with legal, finance and project teams to ensure effective contract development and execution
• Monitor developments in German energy markets, including market design, balancing markets and regulatory developments relevant to commercial structuring
• Translate market and regulatory developments into actionable insights for pricing, contract structuring and commercial decision-making
• Support financing processes where PPAs or other offtake agreements underpin project financing
• Coordinate relevant internal and external stakeholders throughout the origination and contracting process
• Help build scalable internal capabilities, processes and commercial expertise as WLF Energy expands its PPA and offtake business

What We're Looking For

Experience & Knowledge

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Energy Management or a related field – or equivalent relevant professional experience
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in energy markets, business development, commercial origination or a comparable field
• Proven experience in business development and sales within the energy sector, ideally involving Power Purchase Agreements or other complex commercial energy contracts
• Strong track record of originating, structuring, negotiating and closing commercial energy agreements
• Experience in calculating and structuring pricing, volumes and risk allocation for complex commercial contracts
• Solid understanding of German energy markets, including market design, balancing markets and relevant regulatory frameworks
• Strong commercial and financial modelling capabilities and the ability to understand and assess project economics.
• Experience working with industrial, commercial and utility customers or energy trading counterparties is highly desirable
• Relevant energy trading or market certifications are a plus
• Fluent German and English

• Build a qualified and commercially attractive PPA and offtake pipeline for WLF Energy's battery storage portfolio
• Establish strong relationships with key industrial, commercial, utility and energy-market counterparties
• Successfully originate and close the first PPAs or other commercial offtake agreements on commercially sound terms
• Establish robust approaches for PPA pricing, contract structuring and risk allocation
• Embed relevant energy market and regulatory insights into commercial decision-making
• Build effective internal collaboration across Energy Solutions, Legal, Finance and project teams
• Develop scalable processes and commercial capabilities to support the continued growth of WLF Energy's PPA and offtake business
