SUMMARY: The Production Planner / Scheduler will establish and coordinate the production schedules, while ensuring the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between or within departments. Oversee proper production control planning and scheduling programs orders to ensure the Company’s operational needs are met while considering price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning and monitoring the flow of work through the manufacturing process
Coordinating with management in creating and updating job schedules
Create and manage/track production work orders
Prepare reports and analysis for Supply Chain Manager/Program Manager
Provide management with visibility of inventory related issues
Coordinate Supplier request for quotations (RFQ’s)
Monitoring and reporting the status of all parts and jobs and adjusting the production schedule to support the goal of 100% on time deliveries
Analyzing future orders with respect to capacity planning and maintaining capacity data
Create/collect and develop manufacturing metrics
Assisting with outsourcing manufacturing work when required
“Hands On” role
Document material details, including codes, brands and contact information necessary to process orders
Ensure material related documentation i.e. CofC’s, are requested & received as required
Update orders to account for remaining inventory or changes in production schedules
Uphold the company core values
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have the knowledge and experience necessary for the position.
Must be able to follow instructions and procedures and work with minimal supervision.
Must be capable of reading drawings and inspecting the work being performed.
Good communications skills, both written and oral
Experience with capacity planning
Experience working in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment
Experience with ERP / MRP scheduling systems
Experience with Epicor
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Applicant must have at least an Associate Degree from an accredited technical program or equivalent, or an equivalent level of work experience combined with applicable education
2 years’ experience in a production scheduling / planning role Document material detail, including codes, brands and contact information necessary to process orders
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Authorization to work in the United States. To conform to U.S. export control regulations, you should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
