- Design, perform, and independently execute complex laboratory experiments and advanced research procedures using specialized scientific techniques and equipment.
- Develop and refine research methodologies, contributing to protocol design and optimization to enhance study accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze, interpret, and document experimental data, translating findings into meaningful scientific insights and reports.
- Serve as a technical expert and resource for research staff, providing guidance on specialized procedures and laboratory best practices.
- Train and mentor junior researchers on experimental techniques, theoretical concepts, and laboratory protocols.
- Review scientific literature to stay current on emerging methodologies and incorporate relevant advancements into ongoing research.
- Support preparation of research publications, presentations, charts, and visual materials for dissemination of findings.
- Contribute to grant and funding application development through technical input and supporting documentation.
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy, reproducibility, and compliance in research activities conducted by the team.
- Recommend improvements in laboratory processes, equipment, and materials to enhance research performance.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
- Support departmental objectives and contribute to the continuous advancement of research programs and initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field and a minimum of 4 years of research experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced hands-on experience conducting complex laboratory experiments and working with specialized research equipment.
- Strong understanding of research design, experimental methodologies, and data analysis techniques in a biomedical or related scientific field.
- Ability to independently interpret research findings and contribute to scientific publications or presentations.
- Experience mentoring or training research staff in laboratory procedures and scientific concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and present complex scientific information clearly.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols, including handling of hazardous materials and compliance standards.
- Ability to review scientific literature and translate insights into practical research applications.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or engineering background (mechanical, biomedical, or related disciplines).
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and capacity to work in a highly technical and collaborative academic environment.
