Job Description

Senior Client Data Operations Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Client Data Operations Specialist based in the United States.

This role sits at the core of client data integrity and operational reliability, ensuring seamless, accurate, and timely data exchange between healthcare clients and internal systems. You will act as a key technical owner for inbound and outbound client data feeds, overseeing integration setup, validation, and ongoing monitoring. The position combines hands-on data operations with client-facing technical coordination, requiring strong ownership of data quality and issue resolution. You will play a critical role in onboarding new data integrations, standardizing file exchange processes, and preventing data issues before they impact downstream workflows. Working closely with engineering, product, and client success teams, you will help translate complex data flows into scalable, high-quality solutions. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and highly cross-functional, with strong emphasis on healthcare data accuracy and compliance. This is a remote opportunity for a detail-oriented operator who thrives at the intersection of data, technology, and client delivery.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the senior technical point of contact for client and vendor data exchanges, including SFTP/MFT setup, file transfer configuration, and protocol alignment.
  • Define, document, and enforce data exchange requirements, including file formats, schedules, error handling, and escalation procedures.
  • Lead onboarding of new client data feeds from initial setup through stabilization, ensuring accurate and well-documented integration handoffs.
  • Own inbound data quality, ensuring all client files are complete, accurate, timely, and fully compliant with defined specifications.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards and acceptance criteria, proactively rejecting or escalating non-compliant data.
  • Monitor ongoing file exchanges to detect issues, performance degradation, or SLA risks, and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Identify trends in data quality issues and proactively collaborate with client technical teams to resolve root causes before business impact occurs.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all integrations, data specifications, dictionaries, and known issues.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and analytics teams to understand downstream impact and prioritize data improvements.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for standardization, automation, and process optimization across client integrations.
  • Collaborate closely with client success teams to ensure alignment between data operations and client commitments.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in data operations, data integration, technical client support, or similar roles in a healthcare SaaS or regulated environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SFTP/MFT systems, including setup, troubleshooting, and documentation of file transfer specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare data formats such as EDI 834/837, HL7, FHIR, and structured flat files.
  • Proven ability to manage complex client integrations and communicate technical requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong ownership mindset with a clear focus on data quality, accuracy, and downstream impact.
  • Experience driving process improvements and standardization initiatives in data or integration workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, analytics, and client-facing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and process rigor.
  • Exposure to data tooling such as SQL, dbt, or BI platforms (e.g., Looker) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with healthcare or digital health ecosystems and client data configuration tools is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple integrations simultaneously.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary range: $80,000 – $100,000
  • Remote-first work environment within the United States
  • Opportunity to work on complex healthcare data integrations with real-world impact
  • Exposure to modern data tooling, engineering workflows, and client-facing technical operations
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and client success teams
  • Inclusive and mission-driven workplace culture focused on improving healthcare outcomes
  • Professional growth opportunities in data operations and integration leadership
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion across all levels of the organization
  • Supportive environment encouraging process improvement and innovation
